How To Remove Backward Flow Of Blood After Nasal Surgery?

Hi Doctor. I had nasal surgery because of adenoid cystic carcinoma and radiation following that. As part of the side effects of radiation there is a tendency for blood vessel to crack and because it is very sensitive. I am also on Plavix for my angina treatment. I note that small amount of blood tends to flow backwards from my nose to behind my tonsils. I try to remove it with cotton bud. Can you please advise if there is an alternative like rinsing my mouth and if so, should it fail to dislodge, what can I do. Thank you

hello, thanks for your query, tab. plavix radiations, are inevitable u can not stop or alter the dosage. small amount of bleeding can be stoped by xylometazoline nasal drops , in persistent cases nasal packing or electro cautery can be done after visiting your treating surgeon. all the best. take care.
