I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having gum
impaction in your throat.
Sometimes swallowing something hard will impact the throat and leave a sensation that it remains where it touched. When in actuality it has long gone into the stomach.
Gum is an unlikely substance to stick to your throat. It has a hard, slick surface, and the throat does not adhere easily to such a substance. Most likely to get "stuck" are too large a portion to swallow, bones or sharp objects that might stick into the throat tissue. .
I believe if you drink something warm, or hot, that sensation may well disappear in an hour or so.
Based on your clinical details if u still believe that it appears to be stuck in upper part of throat, and it can be removed. I suggest you to visit an ent surgeon, get
laryngoscopy procedure under
local anesthesia, to remove the impacted chewing gum.
Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Wishing you good health
