As per my clinical experience, the issue of altered shade of eyebrow area post an injury indicates damage to underlying subcutaneous tissue regions. It is the stratum basalis which is responsible for the production of melanin pigment and transporting it to the dermis level.
The defect in this layer or melanocytes pause the issue described above as altered shade of color of eyebrow. Majority of the cases do need a laser therapy for this condition after confirmation of diagnosis with skin biopsy.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
