How To Remove Mucus Stuck In Throat Permanently?

i have alot of mucus that always gets stuck in my throat i am always coughin it up at work but i cant control it it always comes in my throat, i smoke ciggarettes and cannabis occationally and that makes it worse. i can feel that when i breathe in my nose the mucus goes right to my throat and i have to cough to get it out, this is repetitive i cough it up like 100 times an hour. what is the best method for this not to happen permanetely? and please dont say stop smoking , i need a more in depth answer than that

You can use gargling with salt and water or baking soda and water to remove mucus. Also, as you can guess stopping smoking is very essential to stop coughing.
