Hi, Acne and dark spots are due to obstruction of the pores of the glands of the skin which secretes sebum and sweat. Blocking of the pores may be due to face creams or due clogging of debris of the skin. This can result in secondary bacterial infection which forms the acne which in turn change into dark spots. Benzac AC contains benzoyl peroxide which acts against bacterial infection and decreases the skin secretion. It has gradual effect on your face. Proper frequent face wash with soft soap may help in much better way to overcome acne. Dark spots will be cured gradually on its own or with some topical retinoids.
