Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just had a root canal and a temporary crown put on a Lateral Incisor a few weeks ago. Today I went back and had the temp crown taken off and had a porcelain crown put on. It has been about 2 1/2 hours since my appointment and my new crown feels lightly loose as if I wiggle it then it will break the cement and come out. What do I need to do?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern. Normally a new prosthesis could be feeling odd to your tongue or lip. This would feel like the crown is moving or it is loose. Actually oral structure such as tongue, lip are very sensitive to touch. You would start adjust to new crown in 1-2 days You should check that the crown is really moving with slight force. In case the crown is actually moving, You should visit your dentist as this could be due to faulty fitting of crown or due to improper cementation of crown.
Refer to your dentist Hope this information helps
