How To Resolve Discolored Skin On Arm Due To Being Scratched?
Hi, I had a small bicycle accident almost one year ago where I scratched a considerable area of my arm The wound healed nicely and the skin texture looks (in terms of texture) and feels normal (looks like normal skin, no scaring) However, the color in that spot is still too dark. Some people told me it was iron from the blood that got there and it should disappear in time, but one year is now past Can I do something to resolve this? Thank you Manuel
To help resolve the discolored skin you can apply locally any ointment or cream with Hydroquinine (Eukroma plus cream or Melalite Forte Cream). You can consult a dermatologist and get laser treatment done for quicker effect. Other treatments that you can be suggest are chemical peels, microderm-abrasion, etc. Avoid getting exposure in direct sunlight. Stay well hydrated & take regular showers.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
