Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, during my rugby game today I hit someone and hit the back of my head on the ground. For a few seconds I was days but I did not lose any consciousness when I got up my vision was crossed for maybe 30 seconds after I saw a little bit of stars my trainers took me to the side that and evaluated me and I had no other symptoms of a concussion and I play the rest of the game. About the end of the game I threw up a few times but I also didn t eat before my game . And that has happened to me before and I thrown up but I don t know if this time is because I hit my head or just because I didn t eat anything. And now I plan to go out tonight with my friends and I may drink a little bit maybe. But I will most likely smoke tonight and would like to know if I can. I didn t feel that bad after the hit but sat out for a few mins to play it safe
concusion is just head injury without causing any damage to brain. it is just shacking of brain. have to be kept under observation and observe for symptoms of nauseavomiting and reaction of pupil to light.incase of concusion the recovery will be complete. in any progressive problem MRI can be taken and neurosurgeon can be consulted.
