Hello and thank you for the question.
Breathing is one of the most important elements of a yoga practice. If your breathing isn`t relaxed, your body and your mind can`t relax.Practically speaking, breathing slowly can lower your heart rate, brings oxygen to the lungs. So let me advice you that your breath should be slow, deep and even because each movement is linked to a breath.Always start with an easy breathing excercise, inhale to lengthen/expand/open in a pose;exhale to fold/twist/relax.With twisting poses, you inhale as you"undo"the twis, then exhale as you return to a neutral position.
Best regards.
