Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Whenever I get called into my boss s office, or when I want to talk to a banker about a loan, I always start to cry. I think it might be because I was abused as a child. When I was young, I got in trouble a few times and when I was sent to the principle s office, they told my parents. Then when I got home, my dad would beat me with a thin leather belt to the point where I would bleed sometimes. I think this is why I automatically cry. How can I make it stop?
Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.
I understand that you have gone through a difficult time during your childhood and are now distressed by your uncontrollable crying episodes. This problem could be due to a variety of causes - like personality issues, childhood trauma, depression, etc.
Since this seems to be distressing you and affecting you, it is advisable to have a psychological assessment in order to find out the exact cause. I would advise you to see a psychiatrist in your place for a detailed evaluation. You may need counselling or sometimes, medication to help you overcome these problems.
Wish you all the best.
