How To Take Logynon Contraceptive Pill To Delay Periods?
Hi I am on the logynon contraceptive and want to skip a period as it falls on New Year weekend . I think I am right in saying I don't start a new pack of pills from the beginning but I don't know which colour to start taking from, could you advise me please?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... Logynon tablets contain two active ingredients, ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel, which are synthetic versions of the naturally occurring female sex hormones, oestrogen and progesterone. Normally one tablet is taken every day for 21 days and you then have a seven day break from pill-taking. During your seven day break, the levels of the hormones in your blood drop, which results in a withdrawal bleed that is similar to your normal period. If you want to delay your period just don't take the seven day break now & continue taking pills regularly by starting a new pack. Then after the weekend you should stop taking the pills. After 2-3 days your period would come.
Hope this information helps
