I have a grandson with opiosional defient disorder and adhd. his father and mother have substance abuse issues and I am taking custody of him. so he has abandonment issues as well,he wants to be with me ,and 11yr old grandson ,he is being placed with me for his own good by state and welcomes it,has had me all his life and does respond well to me. looking for advice on how to pull the negative into positive other than redirection... also looking for teaching literature to better educate myself to help him.mother and father have substance abuse problems and is and wants to be with me. he listens and trust me better than other adults.any learning skills I can use to help him be more social and pull negative to positive would help.. I call it the eor syndrome like eror the donkey from whinnie the poo....
