How To Teat Severe Right Knee Pain Along With Swelling Down To Foot?

Hi, my name is Gloria and a month ago during a zumba class I developed severe pain to my right knee, along with swelling down to my foot. I feel down a set of stair a year ago and had slight pain that was manageable with pain medication (HYDROCODONE). I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY URGENT CARE THAT I have a torn Maniscus, then had an MRI and they said possible tear Maniscus. I then saw a specialist and he said torn meniscus, and tore ligament. I am so confused I went to have a second opinion and that Dr. told me no nothing of the above but wants to inject my knee, Physical Theraphy, and wait a month after theraphy to consider surgery. WHAT THE!!!!!!!!

Hi,

I have read your problem.

Your doctor is right as he advise you physical therapy and consider surgery if no relief occurs. You must do quadriceps strengthening exercise as uploaded on, once pain subsides. Try to avoid squatting and upstairs as much as possible.

If pain still occurs then you may consult your doctor for the arthroscopic menisectomy.
