Hi,
I am on Isonoazide since two months for latent TB. I got my pregnancy test positive at home and want to do medical termination with pill under Doctor's guidance. Is it safe? what is safe period to do it? would it affect my fertility? what side effects would it have on me?

Hi, thanks for writing..
Yes, isoniazid should be taken when pregnant.. At an early stage less than 7 weeks, medical termination can be done.. It should done only under the supervision of a doctor.. No medication for abortion is safe.. The main complication associated with it is severe bleeding, pain abdomen and retained products which might require surgical evacuation.. It can affect fertility only in 15-20% cases when there is associated complication.. Dont worry.. Hope I have answered your query.. Good day..
