How To Test For STD's?

hi,

I recently had a one-time casual encounter with an escort, the only one person that I have had sex other than my wife. Apart from the guilt, I am worried about the STDs that could have transmitted. Before the intercourse, skin contact/foreplay was minimal for 5 mins. We used a condom from the beginning of the intercourse to the end, and withdrew immediately after ejaculation. The intercourse may have lasted just over a minute. We did not kiss orally and did not have any oral sex. I do not know the status of the escort whether she has any STD. Its the 5th day since the encounter and have had no symptoms as I read online or probably its too early.

Please advice whats to be done..

thanks devin

Thank you for query.you had used condom you are saved from most of the STDs like HIV,Gonorrhea, syphilis etc.You can get some stds which can also get transmitted by skin to skin contact like herpes.
The symptoms of STD you can look for are any rash, vesicles, redness, in genitals, urethral discharge, itching or burning in area,Inguinal lymph node swellings etc.
If you have any symptoms you can consult doctor they will investigate you by local examination, urine or discharge sample lab examination, blood tests if required, biopsy if required etc.
If you do not have any symptoms you need not bother as you had protected intercourse. You can get back to me for any clarifications with the photos and details.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and Venereologist
