How To Test For Head Injuries Caused After A Accidental Fall In Infants?
I was holding my baby upside down with her head towards the carpet, she slipped out of my head , landed on her head and rolled over. She seems fine but I dont kniw if dere will be any damage. What should I do and what signs should I look out for. Is she okk
The following are signs of illness in an infant: 1) Soft spot on head if it bulges, it means pressure inside the cranium or head is more 2) Baby not accepting feeds 3) Baby crying excessively 4) Baby is very inactive or sluggish 5) Any bleeding from ear 6) Baby not able to move its limbs freely
If the above signs are seen in your infant, you need to visit a pediatrician as soon as possible. As there was a carpet, fall may not cause I'll effects.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
