How To Treat 25% Of Heart Function While Using A Defibrillator?
My brother has 25% of his heart working he went to his cardiologist today they told him there wasn t anything that they can do for him he does wear a defibrillator they will try to get him to another specialist for some kind of surgery that will put wires To make his heartbeat better in the meantime is it better for him to relax we re live around he s always tired he gave me his goodbye
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Your brother has only 25% heart working(ejection fraction), means his heart only pumps 25% of blood which is send to it. This problem might arise from cardiac ischemia, defective rhythm, congestive heart failure etc. The cardiologist has prescribed placement of a cardiac pacemaker to improve his cardiac rhythm. Cardiac pacemaker placement is a very successful surgery. He must have defective rhythm contributing to low ejection fraction. Cardiac pacemaker will improve the rhythm of heart & would improve the ejection fraction.
Refer to your cardiologist Don't worry he would be fine Hope this helps
