How To Treat Bronchities?

Dear Sir,

My Son has having continuous coughing from last 5 days. He is on medication of Levolin Syrup, Augmentin DDS syrup. but still his coughing is continuous. There is no relief.

We took chest P/A x-ray. that is also clear showing Bronchities.
Can u advice me on any good medicine.

I can understand your son's situation and problem.
Bronchitis is inflammation of airways.
Infection is the most common cause for this.
So we need to give antibiotics and anti inflammatory drugs.
Augmentin is good antibiotic, so should be continued. Inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) is treatment of choice for bronchitis because ICS is having excellent anti inflammatory action. So should be started.
Also start antihistamines for cough suppression.
Discuss about all these with your doctor and start treatment accordingly.
