How To Treat CSF Leak In The Ear?

I have been to a neuro ENT at hopkins. I have a CSF leak in the ear. I am having a hard time connecting to this doctor. he is not answering my calls or my pcp s as well. I am looking for a new Doc. Can you please help me. I was told that if I waited to long I have a chance of getting meningitis.

Dear thanks for the question.

Your concerns ate true. It is absolutely true that CSF leak can lead to meningitis which can be very serious. If I were your treating doctor I would have admitted you in a hospital and immediately call a neurosurgeon and Ear specialist for assessment and treatment. You would most probably require to under go surgery to repair the leak.

Your doctor might be busy so not picking up call, I would like to advise you to visit any other neurosurgeon or ear specialist available in your area. Don't delay.
