It usually do not requires any treatment. It gets heal in around one to two weeks. In your case it has not healed. So it requires a treatment. I advice you not to kiss your partner since this virus infection can be spread via kissing. You can take the acyclovir under your doctors guidance. For severe cases you can take corticosteroid but it also requires doctors supervision. Maintain hygiene as it is equally important in maintaining infection as drugs do.
