Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 34 years old single female. Having Lumbar disc prolapse. Currently suffering from chronic lower back pain and chronic pelvis pain. Doctor has given me medication and advised strict bed rest. Had a L5-S1 disc removal surgery 9 years back. Doctor said may be scar tissues formed are again compressing the nerve to the right leg where I am having numbness. Please advise
I think you need to get MRI of the spine again to see what is happening to your back. If it is a recurrence of disc herniation or it is just scar formation or it is herniation at different level. According to that we can plan our further management. Till that time you should take pregabalin and methylcobal tablet and avoid bed rest as it is not going to give much benefit. you can avoid certain activities though like lifting heavy weight and forward bending.
