Hello sir, My wife age-37yrs has been suffering from PCOD and a loss of libido for last three years. The Gyno has prescribed obimet tab and oosur. My wife is taking the medicine for the last six months but there is no relief in libido problem. And the periods are still irregular. Of course the periods have improved but still far away from normal.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

PCOD is the most common reason for missed periods and loss of libido. Hence you may need to do: Transvaginal scan to see your wife's reproductive organs and Hormonal blood test (FSH, LH, Prolactin). I suggest taking oral contraceptives pills for management of pcod. I also suggest lifestyle changes like avoid spicy food and alcohol. Regular exercise is even more beneficial when combined with a healthy diet.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
