How To Treat A Black Spot Caused Accidentally Due To A Bruise?

I was messing with a rubber band the other day, and accidently hit my thumb while pulling back the string. It caused a small bruise to form but it eventaully healed up. However, the bruise has left a faded black spot that has remained there for at least half a year. Somwhat like a scar, but it appears as a black spot. What could it be/mean?

HI
Well come to HCM
If you are talking about the super facial injury just due to rubber band so such mark or black spot may not be due to this but it could be due to something else, more over this is a year old so because of little rubber injury such mark is very unlikely, if this is not hurting or cause any pain increasing in size then no need to worry about it, take care.
