How To Treat A Bruise And Swelling On The Middle Toe Of A Child?
My 10 year old son stubbed his toe yesterday. He said his toe hurt so I buddy taped it. We then went to his baseball game and he showed little to no affects. This morning, there was bruising that extended from his middle toe to almost the middle of his foot. There is also some swelling at the toe and under the bruising. Is it likely the toe or metatarsal are broken? Sprained? Just bruised?

Redness of toe can be due to sprain or fracture. However, the fracture is accompanied by severe pain. I suggest you to consult your orthopedician for X-ray of the foot to look for evidence of fracture.
