Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently have a broken blood vessel? in my eye. It has happened several times throughout the years. Is it a clot that gets stuck there or is it too thin of blood and therefore leaks?? I take coumadin and have my INR checked regularly and it is always normal.
Your symptoms seem to be related to side effects of Coumadin which is a blood thinner. A subconjunctival hemorrhage is usually a harmless condition that disappears within two weeks or so. So, you should not be worried. There is no need to treat it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
