How To Treat A Growing Swelling Of The Hand Converting To Numbness After Insect Bite?

Got stung by either a wasp or something else on my upper right arm. Now my whole arm is swollen down past my elbow and is continuing to spread. I have pain from my shoulder down to my hand. In which my hand is going going numb. Benadryl and ice have done nothing. What should I do now?

Hello,
Welcome to HCM.
As you had sting of WASP and know you are having severe pain in the sting area and the entire limb and you have applied Ice pack and taken a medicine by yourself.
There are several home available remedies are there for reducing the pain in case of WASP Sting.For my patient I would have advised to apply Ice packs and keeping it for minimum of 10 mins,salt,olive oil,, lemon juice and onion can be placed on the sting place.
As you are having swelling of the limb also donot neglect approach your treating doctor at the earliest he may prescribe some drugs to control infection and swelling of the limb.
