How To Treat A Huge Bump On Eyebrow Caused Due To Facial Injury?
I had a fall 12 days ago and landed on my face. I had a black eye, broken nose, front teeth went through upper lip. Everything is healing well except I still have a huge bump on my eyebrow. It does not hurt to touch, it about the size of a thumb. Does it just take that area longer to heal?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that due to injury there have been injury to the soft tissues of the face and there might have been direct impact over the soft tissues over the eyebrow leading to hematoma formation and many a times the hematoma gets encapsulated and localized leading to formation of a firm lump that can take a long time to resolve.. I would suggest you to do alternate warm and cool compresses over the lump.. Apply heparin containing gel over the lump for faster disintegration of the clot.. You can also take Ibuprofen if there is redness, inflammation or soreness.. In case if it does not show signs of resolution in 15 days consult a General surgeon and get evaluated..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
