Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a large hematoma on my left thigh. The injury occurred a week ago. I went to a doctor this past Friday and he gave me an anti inflammatory medicine. While the pain is almost non existent, it looks like the swelling is getting larger. Is it normal for the swelling to increase bef it gets better.
Usually, when it's get better the pain the hematoma gets smaller. Better to do an ultrasound of that area to see exactly what's the problem. Please discuss with your doctor for the above.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
