How To Treat A Large Painful Hematoma On Left Buttock?

I fell and have a large hematoma on left buttock. The pain and swelling is unreal. The ER doctor said it would just take time for it to go away. It has been almost 2 weeks and it is just as painful and as large. I m nauseated and week from the pain all the time. Is there anything that will help ease the pain and promote quicker healing? Is this normal to hurt so bad?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
hi
You must show to a surgeon.,if hematoma is not resolving and painful, if an infection is present, an abscess deep seated may form.To confirm or rule out pus, needle aspiration may be tried,if it is only inflammatory cellulitis, pain meds and antibiotics may hasten healing but if pus formation, then draining may be required
thanks
