Hi, I was kicked in my shin by a kid with steel toed boots in February. It s now been about 4 months since and I still have a lump about 1/2 in diameter where I was kicked. I had been there since I was kicked. I experience no pain from it. I can move it around. I just want to know what it is, and how to get rid of it?
Hi & Welcome to HCM. I appreciate your concern for the lump on your shin. It appears to be an organized hematoma.
Most hematomas subside without causing any serious clinical problems. However, some persist for long periods and appear as painless lump.
You can apply heparin containing gel over the lump, it will help in the resolution of the hematoma. If the lump still persists, you may have to consult a surgeon for its removal under local anesthesia.
