How To Treat A Painful Bump At Back Of Head Caused After Injury?

I fell from my porch and landed on the cement walk. By the time I was able to get up and into the house, I had a bump the size of a baseball on the back of my head. I called a friend who told me to put ice on the bump, which I did. The bump is now the size of a walnut, but still very painful. Should I put ice on it again?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, ice better works immediately after the injury later on for the inflammation anti-inflammatory drugs can be used and best would be "Tab Ibuprofen 400 mg" three times even if the inflammation remains then it may needs x-ray study, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
I find this answer helpful
