How To Treat A Painful Bump Caused Due To Cuticle Tear From Nail?
Three weeks ago I bit a hang nail off on the side of my middle finger towards my cutical. There has now been a bump that has vanished yet it does not hurt. I have tried puncturing it in which nothing came out except for blood. I then tried wrapping it in neosporan, dipping it in peroxide, and even a home remedy of viniger and luke warm water. All of these solutions have done nothing to it. This bump is very large and unattractive. Do you have any idea what it is or what I may do to fix it?
If there is bump then you need oral antibiotics too take amoxiclav for 3 days and wash with hydrogen peroxide and apply povidone iodine if needed to wrap then bandage it. Make sure no pus or infection, home remedy with turmeric milk is helpful. Neosporin or Soframycin can be helpful too.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
