How To Treat A Patient Suffering From Hallucinations?
my wife wakeup at midnights and screemed and crying in fear. when i tried to convience her she ran far away from me. after 5 minutes she behave normal and after asking she said she saw a dream in which i trying to kill her also i tried to catch her forcely. but when she behave normal she didn t remember anything what i say to her or anything. she just said that you trying to kill me. it happens first times in last month and again happend in just 10 days. what should i do?
As per my clinical experience, it is association with multiple co morbid conditions which manifest as the audio and visual hallucinations. Usually underlying depression, fear, anxiety, personality disorders with psychosis which has to be evaluated in greater details with expert physician or pscyhiatrist. Many treatment modalities available once the diagnosis is confirmed as below: - Counselling by clinical psychologist - Home and office support - Meditations and YOGA - Anti psychotic, anti depressant, sedative as melatonin or other supportive care - Check to allow her a balanced nutritious diet - Avoidance of conflict, stress with family involvement
