How To Treat A Spreading Sore Inside My Nose?

hi, I am diabetic 54 year old, I am housebound and rarely meet outsiders. I went to a doctor (GP) 3 days ago to diagnose a sore in side my nose that spread quickly to my side of the face. He didn't look at it but gave me 3 pills to take at 1 time - anti-viral - now I have scab like crusts in both nostrils and can not breathe except throw my mouth - I don't know if I should be concerned or let this take its course. Any suggestions
