How To Treat Acid Reflux?

I have been spitting blood, having acid reflux, bloating, gas, burping, skin takes longer to heal. My doctor thinks it may be an ulcer. I was a pack a day smoker and have stopped but taking oral nicotine and drinking coffee which seems to worsen my day. What concerns me most is the blood. I spit bright red blood every once in a while without having to cough. I check my gums and it seems clear of blood. I sometimes taste the blood in the back of my throat but not often. I constantly feel like food or drink is pushing up around my adams apple. I will go running and immediately need to throw up. Also, hot showers make me produce phlegm which also makes me want to throw up. This makes me wonder if it is still an ulcer or not. My platelet count was 286 last.
