How To Treat Acute Gastritis Causing Gagging Sensation?
Hello I ve been battling these dry heaves/gagging feeling for 9 years, I have been to several doctors & nobody can seem to figure it out. We have done multiple tests & all we found was acute gastritis, I have been on all kinds of anxiety meds nothing seems to help. Can you help me please?
As per query you have acute gastritis causing gagging sensation , you are having gagging reflux feeling from last 9 years . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like acid reflux , wallenberg's syndrome , bulbar palsy , post nasal drip and multiple Sclerosis . Gastritis can be caused by viral infections , extreme stress , autoimmune disorders and bile reflux . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologits for proper examination . Doctor may order X-ray of upper respiratory track , endoscopy , blood test , fecal test and ultrasound of digestive system . Doctor may prescribe H2 blockers , antacids , proton pump inhibitor along with anti inflammatory . Doctor may also recommend surgery to correct the defect . For now avoid hot and spicy food , keep your head elevated while laying down and take a light walk after every meal .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
