How To Treat Adenomyosis With Adenomyoma Of Uterus?
hi doctor i m manju 38 yrs, suffering from adenomyosis with adenomyoma of uterus D/D Im fibroid, doctor advised me to operate. I dont want operation and wish to cure it with medicine. Is there any other way like medicine to cure it? How long it will take to recover?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Adenomyosis is presence of superficial endometrial lining deep in the myometrial muscle. Adenomyoma or intramural fibroid are benign tumors of muscle of uterus. Adenomyosis when extensive causes pain and menstrual irregularities. Adenomyoma or fibroid are usually asymptomatic and when symptomatic cause pain and menstrual irregularities. When they become symptomatic, they need to be treated. Treatment is primarily surgical removal of the adenomyoma or fibroid. Non-surgical treatment includes blocking the blood supply to the fibroid or adenomyoma to shrink its size.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
