How To Treat Alopecia?

Hello! I went to a dermatologist in February because I noticed a bald spot on my head. He said that it was alopecia and prescribed a gel along with some injections. The hair is growing back really fast but now I have noticed 4 small spots (smaller than a penny) on different areas. I purchased rogaine because I was told it works, but after reading further reviews people are saying it does not. What should I do? My next appointment Isn t until 2 months from now and I don t want to be bald.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Alopecia is an autoimmune disorder. Loss of patch of hair can be progressive, however, in most of the cases it is reversible. I suggest you to consult your dermatologist for further treatment also. The medication should be taken under medical supervision else it can turn to be harmful.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
