How To Treat An Abscess Turned Into Lump Under Arm In Infants?

My 10 month old son had some kind of bite That got infected and caused an abscess under his arm near his pit. I went and had it drained 3 days ago and have been giving him the antibiotics prescribed. He still has a large lump and its still reddened. How long til the lump goes away?

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern that your 10 month old child has got an infected abscess. You have appropriately done by getting it drained.
Antibiotics will help in healing process. You need to take care that the wound should be maintained clean.
But, if the lump is still present and red in color, it indicates that it might not have been drained properly and infection still persists.
Hence you have to get it drained again.
Kindly consult Surgeon in this regard for appropriate management.
