Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How To Treat Anorexia Nervosa Despite Not Being Underweight?
if you are suffering with anorexia nervosa but you are not underweight, is it possible to ask for a nasogastric feeding tube on an outpatient basis to get your body the nutrients it needs daily without restricting calories, purging and feeling guilty?
OPD refeeding can be too uncomfortable, and weight gain can be to rapid for anyone to tolerate, resulting in sabotaging treatment. As I presume must under go all kinds of treatment i.e., CBT, CBTE, CRT, IPT, FBT, ABMT, or refeeding strategy. There is one good news OMBW ['Art of Living' course shown some sudden relieve signs and symptoms] in one study via some unknown mechanism you can do.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
