Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a lot of trouble focusing, paying attention and getting stuff done. I didn t think that those were symptoms of an actual medical condition that could be treated until a friend told me about it and let me try a low dosage adderall. I told my parents about it but they don t believe that adderall is healthy and may cause severe side effects, is there other ways to treat ADD or how can i get prescribed adderall?
As per my clinical experience, the adderall is a CNS stimulant drug which contains Amphetamine and Dextroamphetamine used for various clinical indications including that of Attention deficit disorder. The drug needs prescription of your treating physician, psychiatrist or psychologist to fill at the chemist outlet. However, your precise diagnosis is important via history, physical examination and then comes the issue of prescription for curing it.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
