How To Treat Bed Wetting At The Age Of 9?

My grandson is 8 1/2 and still wets the bed. Sometimes twice a night. He is a normal kid.. Happy and loved. In a 2 parent home with a lot of extended family. It is starting to bother him & concern his mom & dad. They have restricted his fluids, have him pee before bed & his dad gets him up around midnight to use the bathroom. Any thoughts & advise would be appriceated.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello,

based on what you told, your child has nocturnal enuresis which we see regularly in our clinical setup.

fortunately, it can be treated with tab. imipramine 25mg once daily before bedtime.
restriction of fluids wont do much help so dont deprive your child with fluids.

Wish your child a safe and speedy recovery. I shall be happy to assist if you have further questions.
I find this answer helpful
