Hi,

Polycystic ovarian disease presents with reproductive hormonal imbalance and insulin resistance leading to irregular periods, anovulation and sometimes infertility. This could be the possible causes fever delayed periods and hypomenorrhea that is less bleeding during the periods.

So the treatment should be focused in correcting the causative factors. Fertyl tablet contains clomiphene citrate, which helps in ovulation induction. Where does metformin helps in decreasing the insulin resistance. So, by taking these tablets anovulation and insulin resistance can be corrected and the possibility of pregnancy can be increased. So, please follow the suggestions given by your doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sree Gouri S. R., OBGYN
