How To Treat Black Discoloration Around Right Eye After An Injury?

Hello! I am a goalie for soccer and I took a hard shot from about 2 feet away right in the face/nose. I dropped instantly but was awakened by hitting the ground. When I opened my eyes I couldn t see out of my right eye. It s two hours later now and I still have black splotches in my eye. Why is this happening and can I fix it? Thanks!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You are having bruise and soft tissue injury around right eye.

But you need to evaluate ophthalmic cause as well and tor that ophthalmoscopy examination is needed.

Meanwhile you can be prescribed anti inflammatory drug for five days along with antibiotic.

Hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
