Hi, my five year old son had an ear infection 1 month ago as per his doctor. He was putting his finger inside his right ear and a little bit of blood came out. It also had a bad smell. He was prescribed antibiotics and ear drops which I gave him just as the doctor told me. He got better. But then last week he was putting his finger inside his right ear again, like if it was itching. So I took him again to the doctor for a follow-up. The doctor said that he does not have an infection, but he has lots of wax inside his ear and that maybe that is why he puts his finger in his ear. (He also complains while he is doing this). Doctor also said to use baby oil to remove the wax from his ear. Anyway, he is still scratching his ear and today a little bit of blood came out from his ear. What should I do? I am worry he might still have the infection. I also don't want him to miss school again. Your advice will be greatly appreciated.
