Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 25 year old female. I have had problems pooping for most of my life. I have been to the doctor and they said I had a tear in my anus (about 2 years ago). They gave me suppositories to take for 4 days. When I poop, it will tear and bleed. A few months ago I found what I thought was a skin tag. It was very small so I thought nothing of it. This past weekend, I had a solid poop which I had to use force to get out. Now, I have a tag that is the size of a peanut m&m. It is also bleeding quite a bit. Do I go see a doctor?
You appear to be suffering from External Hemorrhoids. They increase in size due to pooling of blood in them on forceful expulsion of stool. This is what I believe happened to you. I would recommend you consult your local physician to get them physically examined and plan the further management accordingly.
In the meanwhile, I would suggest 1. 3 tbsp of laxative at bedtime. 2.Local application of Lignocaine gel before and after passing stool. 3. Sitz bath....that is sitting in a warm tub of water for 15 minutes daily. 4. Increase intake of fluids, fruits and vegetables.
I hope this answers your query. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns. Wishing you good health.
