How To Treat Blood Clots At Lower Portions Of The Lungs?
Had two rounds of clot migration in lungs. First late July / 3 weeks in discharged with a walking 93 no blood gas on oral thinner. No previous clot history. Second round end of end of Sept. hospital stay 31 days with deterating oxygen little intervention locume Doctor changes ever 7 days. On day 21 got a doctors attention as 0xygen use had peaked out. She proceeded to put a filter in and had a marked improvement in 3 days. Heparin injectable for full period but clot control some what sketchy. Discharged on Nov 2 blood gas level 47 and oxygen level 5. Doctor never returned to Alberta from her home in Alaska after Christmas so had no lung specialist until April 14. Now have determined there are residual blood clot issues in the lower portions of both lungs that the body did not desolve as a normally happens. Six minute walk result was 76 % with fairly fast recovery to 94%. Question realizing the limited info Is there a drug or a arterial cleansing procedure to clear blood flow in those affected areas to ficilitate proper oxcidination again. I guess the other question is that due to lack of a timely intervention has this turned into a non reversible PAH condition.
* If the long standing blood clots are not responding to conventional anti platelet agents, there can be various management guidelines as If asymptomatic, wait and watch with regular physician follow up.
If symptomatic, exploration with MRI findings, bronchoscopy intervention if possible.
