I have a blood clot that starts at my port for iv access, goes into the top of the heart and drops through the tricuspid valve into the lower part of the heart. They sent me home with warfarin. THey also diagnosed at the same time clots in the lungs starting toward the bottom of the right lung and goes all the way down and into the lobes. The heart clot is around 7 inches I believe and the pe is also about that. Did I get the right treatment with being sent home and blood thinners or should they have done something else. The one in my heart goes up and down through the valve as my heart beats which is often more than 150bpm. Thanks Cindy
Thanks for your question on HCM. If your heart rate is 150 and you have clots in lung, I advicd you to consult pulmonologist and get done CT pulmonary angio to know the exact extent of pulmonary embolism. I suggest thrombolytic therapy for you. After this therapy you have to take tab warf life long with maintaining INR between 2-3. So better to consult pulmonologist and discuss these things.
