How To Treat Broken Blood Vessel On Right Leg Causing Pain And Burning Sensation?
My mom is fifty years old and we were just outside with the kids. Her leg started burning and hurting. A blood vessel above knee on outside of right leg apparently burst. She is a smoker of thirty f ive years. No other serious health health problems. The blood vessel area is swollen approximately five inches long and quarter to half inch high. She has no insurance. So doesnt wan t to go to a doctor. I would like to know if this is serious

It is serious because the enlarged vein may get complicated getting inflamed causing phlebitis or may burst. She may need to keep the legs elevated, use compression socks and use aspirin as anticoagulant. If possible see a vascular surgeon.
