Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Felt a small bump on my left armpit. It isn t considered close to surface, not visible but palpable. It s been there for a month and the day before I found it. I ate some spicy food that made me uncomfortable and go to the toilet. I don t have any other symptoms. The node isn t growing or shrinking and looks a little blue-black.
Did you get any wound or infection in that arm recently? Probably this is an enlarged lymph node, and usually this follows an infection in the same arm.
If this is not painful and not enlarging progressively, we need not worry. Consult your doctor if it enlarges, becomes tender, or you develop fever/weigh loss/poor appetite/night sweats.
Let me know if I can assist you further Take care Dr Muhammed Aslam
